From Northampton and points south
Rt. 91 north to exit 24. Right off the exit onto Rts. 5 & 10 north; right at the lights onto Rt. 116. In Sunderland Center go left at the lights onto Rt. 47, follow about seven miles. Go straight where Route 47 bears right. Go through Montague Center, bear left past the village green one quarter mile to small bridge. The Mill is on the left at 440 Greenfield Rd.
Scenic alternative - about a mile up Rt. 47 from Sunderland Center go left onto Falls Road. Follow this road (this is a nice biking road), which winds along the Connecticut River and through beautiful farm land, bearing right at the fork and crossing the bridge, to the end (just over 5 miles) and turn right. The Bookmill is on the right.
From Boston and points east
Rt. 2 west to Rt. 63 south. Go 5 miles (watch for where Rt. 63 turns to the left on the far side of Millers Falls) to Center Street, Montague. Turn right, go past the village green one quarter mile to small bridge. The Mill is on the left.
From Amherst
Rt. 63 north to Montague Center exit (junction with Rt 47), eight miles. Take a left and go to end of street (200 yards), and take a right. Go through Montague Center, bear left past the village green one quarter mile to small bridge. The Mill is on the left.
From Greenfield and points west
Rt. 91 south to Rt. 2 east to Turners Falls. At the lights by the Turners Falls Bridge (Gas station across on your left) go right, cross bridge, then left onto 1st street after the bridge past the Town Offices and Police Station. Go up the hill to end, turn left, go up hill, go past Scotty's Market, then right fork onto Turners Falls Road. Follow this into Montague about 5 miles - the Bookmill will be on your right.
